The inaugural Budapest International Guitar Competition is being organized between 4-8 November 2014. More than 30 young guitarists from 20 countries will demonstrate their skills and talents before an international jury and a Budapest audience.

The Director of Communications at the Liszt Academy, Imre Szabó Stein, was in Berlin on October 24 to personally pick up on behalf of his team the prestigious Red Dot prize. Often referred to as a design Oscar, it was awarded for the Liszt Academy's newly created corporate identity.

The Liszt Academy has entered into a strategic alliance with three Budapest educational establishments to bring new life to the world famous Kodály Method of teaching, as well as creating an exemplary model representing the full scale of Hungarian vocal and music public education. The schools are the Városmajor Secondary School, the Károly Kós Specialist Music and Singing Primary School and the Városmajor Street Kindergarten.
