The production is a real treat for opera lovers as in this top-notch opera carnival the most loved arias are brought together to turn the „opera as an impossible genre” into the best show possible. Voice and stage directing students of the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik, Berlin, and the Liszt Academy of Music are celebrating the success of their intense one-week workshop entitled Somewhere Over the Voices with this gala. The frame of the production is a grand party where famous opera characters gather to face the eternal – and oftentimes heated - challenges the relationship between man and woman entails – a timeless theme familiar to us all. As the evening enfolds various episodes emerge and take us somewhere over the voices…
The art and music directors of the workshop are Prof. Anna Korondi and Prof. Stewart Emerson from Berlin as well as Prof. Andrea Meláth and Miklós Harazdy from the host Liszt Academy.
