Pianist Minse Kwon was born in Iksan, North Jeolla Province of the Republic of Korea, and began studying piano since the age of 5, influenced by his family's musical background. With innate musicianship and delicate sensibility, Minse has shown great talent in the instrument, winning more than 10 Awards from the North Jeolla Province Superintendent of Education, and being ranked high in multiple national competitions, including 1st Prizes in Teenager Piano Competition and Korea Brahms Association Concours. Since then, he was recognized around the country for his talent, having won various prizes, including 1st Prizes in Eumak Chunchu Classical Music Magazine Competition, The Music Association of Korea Competition, Haneum Contest and Korean Liszt Competition. Minse acquired various musical experiences performing with Jeonju City Symphony Orchestra, North Jeolla Provincial Symphony Orchestra and also in multiple concerts, including Kumho Art Hall Young Talent Concert, Seoul Arts High School Young Artist Concert, Jeonju University Soloist Recital, Sori Arts Center Solo Recital Series and Seoul National University Art Space Performance. He has been diligently expanding the horizon of his musical sphere by participating in Courchevel Music Alp Festival, Euro Music Festival, Berlin International Music Festival and more. Minse studied under Prof. Hee Sung Joo and Prof. Yoon-Ju Oh, graduated from Seoul Arts High School and is currently a junior at Seoul National University.
