The finest Hungarian performers will pay tribute to the great pianist Kálmán Dráfi on the occasion of his 70th birthday with a concert featuring the compositions of the greatest pianists in music history. A professor at the Liszt Academy since 1977, a recipient of the Liszt Ferenc Prize and the title of Meritorious Artist, Kálmán Dráfi will be celebrated by the audience alongside performers such as János Balázs, pianist and winner of the Liszt and Kossuth Prizes; Gábor Farkas, pianist and Head of the Keyboard and Harp Department at the Liszt Academy; Valentin Magyar, Junior Prima Award-winning pianist; Barnabás Kelemen, violinist and winner of the Liszt and Kossuth Prizes; and Miklós Perényi, cellist and recipient of the Liszt, Kossuth, and Prima Primissima Prizes, as well as the title of Meritorious Artist. The program includes beloved works by Liszt, Chopin, and Rachmaninov, all cherished gems of the chamber and piano repertoire that never fade. Kálmán Dráfi’s students, colleagues, and chamber music partners will greet him with chamber music performances, reflecting the diversity of his body of work, as well as his artistic and teaching career.
