For nearly two decades, the European Chamber Music Academy (ECMA) has served as fertile ground for shaping the music of the future, with a particular focus on chamber music. Its international programme, ECMA PRO has been created as a workshop that enables young, exceptionally talented ensembles not only to hone their skills in masterclasses, but also to perform at prestigious festivals and showcase concerts. Within months of its founding in 2022, the Basel-based Helix Trio won several prizes including the first prize at the ORPHEUS Swiss Chamber Music Competition, and has been awarded the title ‘Rising Ensemble 2025’ by the Spanish Association of Classical Music Festivals (FestClássica). Their success has been followed by numerous European concert engagements, most notably their debut at the Palau de la Música in Catalonia. They have participated in masterclasses with renowned artists such as Dénes Várjon, Steven Isserlis, Johannes Meissl and Patricia Kopatchinskaja, and are currently students of Zoltán Fejérvári, Anna Gebert, Rafael Rosenfeld and Rainer Schmidt. The Osimun Quartet has played at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Eindhoven and in Germany. They are winners of the Storioni Competition, podium winners of the ‘Dutch Classical Talent for 2025’ competition, two-time scholarship holders of the Jeunesses Musicales Germany and can be heard in prominent European concert series. Among their teachers are renowned musicians such as the members of the Quatour Ébène, as well as Johannes Meissl and Patrick Jüdt. In addition to the ECMA, they participate in projects of the Netherlands String Quartet Academy (NSKA).
