students of the Jazz Department and Chamber Music Department of Liszt Academy
Kindred melodies? Shared roots? For one evening, we are opening the carefully maintained borders between genres. At this joint concert by the Jazz and Chamber Music Departments of the Liszt Academy, short character pieces weave around jazz improvisations, coming together like tiny, colorful tiles in an imaginative musical mosaic. Although the young artists – students of the Liszt Academy – develop their craft in different fields and styles, on this special night their musical language becomes one. The two department heads, Kristóf Bacsó and Balázs Fülei, are forward-thinking artists who place the power of creation directly in the students’ hands. From that point on, everything depends on imagination and creativity!
