Gergely Bogányi's Birthday Gala Concert

One of the most prominent figures of Hungary’s classical music scene, Kossuth Prize-winning pianist Gergely Bogányi, celebrates his birthday with a special concert in the prestigious Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy. During the evening, Gergely Bogányi will perform Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a work of sweeping power and lyrical beauty, together with the Pannon Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Tibor Bogányi. The second half of the concert will feature a true musical sensation: the world premiere of Gergely Bogányi’s new symphonic work, The Legend of Saint Philomena, which will provide a fittingly festive crown to this special occasion.
