10th Anniversary of the Tálas Áron Trio Presented by Liszt Academy

The Junior Prima, Gramophone and Artisjus award-winning pianist, drummer and composer Áron Tálas has won the Keyboardist of the Year award several times in the votes of jazzma.hu and jazz.hu readers. With his own ensemble, the Áron Tálas Trio, he has developed a unique sound: his musical language is equally influenced by folk music, the classical heritage and of course the complex rhythms and harmonies of jazz. The trio’s first album (Floating Island) was released in Japan, the second (Little Beggar) was released in Hungary by BMC, and the latter was voted Jazz Record of the Year by Gramophone magazine. The album’s material “has a strong lyrical side and a dazzling harmonic richness. Áron Tálas is one of the most interesting personalities of his generation”, wrote Balázs Bágyi. A reviewer in a foreign magazine wrote of his latest album (New Questions, Old Answers): „A marvellous solo album, rich in melody and wonderful harmony”
