Kodály Seminar at the Hungarian Academy in Rome

The Kodály Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music organizes a workshop on the Kodály-method at the Hungarian Academy in Rome from 2 September till 5 September, 2015.

In collaboration with AIKEM – Associazione Italiana Kodály per l’Educazione Musicale, Affiliated National Institutional Member of the IKS, Accredited by M.I.U.R. and recognized by M.I.U.R. pursuant to directive 90/2003 the Kodály Institute of the Liszt University of Music organizes a Kodály Seminar at the Hungarian Academy in Rome. The course – to be held at the Accademia d'Ungheria In Roma (Via Giulia 1., 00186 Rome) – starts early afternoon 2nd of September (Wednesday) and culminates at midday September 5th (Saturday).

The Kodály Seminar in Rome is recommended for music teachers interested in the Kodály- based music education and for choral conductors working with children’s choirs.

Participants receive practical guidelines to successful music instruction and choir leading, according to the Kodály concept. Professors of the seminar will be Gabriella Thész (merited artist, former artistic director of the Hungarian Radio’s Children’s Choir) and Andrea B. Horváth (professor, choral conductor).

During the course there will be daily musicianship lessons for all participants with the systematic use of relative solmization, plus specialization in music pedagogy and specialization in choral music education for children.
